The owner of our rental house has decided to sell the house....just when we have nicely settled down here. It was kinda sad and emotionally challenging when we heard the news 1st. We just didn't want to go thru the whole hassle of looking for another place, packing and moving all over again. Furthermore, I was looking forward to seeing the bank account grow now tat we r more or less done with all the expenses of settling down.. If we move now, I'll have to spend again on moving expenses! I so hate the idea of our savings dipping any bit at all!
We've spent abt $12,000 on paying rent since last Sep and da fact is we've got nothing to show for it. We could still be homeless when the owner decides coz it isn't our home. It was very sad!
I was very disheartened! All the packing! All the searching for another rental place at a safe suburb at a low rent! I am really quite happy with our current place. Such a hard find. Such hard work! N now we have to look for another one if the owner finds a buyer. How miserable!
However, we are over the initial shock (& da pathetic bout of whining and moaning) triggered by the news and feeling more positive again. Guess if not for this, both of us wouldn't move our ass n look into buying our own place at all! We r so addicted to the idea of being loan free tat getting a house loan...a LOAN...simply puts us off.
However, it's beta to be paying off your loan than paying thousands on rent, I guess. So, after much consideration Mohan & I have finally decided to purchase a house for ourselves.
